Delhi: A man hailing from Punjab was arrested here for allegedly misbehaving with an air-hostess of Air India while on flight, police said on Friday. Kuldeep Singh Barm was apprehended at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Wednesday after the air-hostess lodged a formal complaint with the police, a senior police official said.
Barm was flying from Amritsar to Delhi on the Air India flight when the incident took place. The air-hostess alleged that he was drunk and he caught her hand and uttered obscene words while she was serving passengers, he said.
He was handed over to police at the airport and a case was registered under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of woman) and 509 (use of word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code. Barm, a resident of Kapurthala, was arrested and later released on bail, the official said.
