A Delhi police head constable was critically injured when a mob celebrating India's cricket win over Pakistan attacked him with a brick, police said on Monday.
Brahmanand, in his early 40's, was posted in south Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar police station. He was attacked around 10 p.m. Sunday after the Indian victory in Asia Cup in Dhaka.
The brick hit his head, leaving him critically injured.
"He was rushed to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) where he is being treated in ICU (Intensive Care Unit)," said a police officer.
