New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the loss of lives in a Border Security Force (BSF) plane crash near Delhi Airport.
"I am sad to learn about the tragic BSF plane crash in Delhi, in which all the BSF personnel on board lost their lives. My thoughts and prayers are with the families, who have lost their near and dear ones." he said
"I am sure that all necessary help and assistance is being provided to the next of kin of the deceased," he said in a message to Devendra Kumar Pathak, Director General of Border Security Force (BSF).
Mr Mukherjee said, "Kindly convey my sincere words of sympathy to the families of the deceased personnel. I pray to the Almighty to give the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".
A small 20-year-old BSF plane ferrying the force's technical personnel to Ranchi today crashed near Dwarka and burst into flames just outside Indira Gandhi International airport shortly after take-off killing all 10 people on board.
