Rain, hailstorm likely in Delhi

New Delhi: It was a cloudy day for Delhi on Monday with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting hailstorms in some areas.

"The sky will remain generally cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms likely in some areas. Hailstorms are also likely in some parts," an IMD official said.

With a cloud cover enveloping Delhi, the minimum temperature early on Monday was three notches above average at 11.7 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature on Sunday was five notches above average at 26.3 degree Celsius.

Visibility was 1,200 meters at 8.30 a.m., while humidity was 77 percent.

On Monday, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature Tuesday is likely to be around 12 degrees Celsius.
