Rain in Delhi brings down temperature by a few notches
New Delhi: A cloudy morning in the capital held out its promise and the city witnessed rain in the afternoon. There was heavy downpour in a few areas of Delhi.

The weather office had forecast light rains for today as the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 28.7 degree Celsius.

The rain has so far proved elusive this monsoon season. The capital recorded just 0.1 mm of rain in 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that maximum temperature is likely to be around 34 degree Celsius.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 am was 73 per cent.

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperature both settled a notch above the average at 33.2 and 27.7 degree Celsius respectively.
