New Delhi:
Weather remained pleasant in Delhi on Sunday as morning showers brought down the temperature significantly.
After a massive dust storm last evening, intermittent showers hit the city overnight and in the morning bringing respite from the intense heat wave sweeping the city over the week.
The city received moderate rainfall of 25.7 mm while observatories at Palam recorded 37 mm, Lodhi Road 24.8 mm and Aya Nagar 51.7 mm rain since Saturday morning, a MeT official said.
Humidity levels rose and were recorded at 59 and 100 per cent.
The maximum and minimum temperatures registered pleasant levels at 32.2 and 20.5 degrees Celsius, both seven notches below the normal, the Met department said.
The weatherman has forecast partly cloudy sky with spells of light rain and thunderstorm in some parts of the city for tomorrow.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 34 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively, the official said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were recorded at 39.7 degrees and 29 degrees Celsius.
