Rainfall brings down temperature in the Capital
New Delhi: Mercury dropped by few notches as rains lashed parts of Delhi on Saturday.

After the rain, cool breeze made the weather pleasant in many places. The wind speed in the Capital was approximately at 60 kmph.

The change in weather is due to an upper air cyclonic circulation in Punjab.

Parts of Punjab and Haryana including Chandigarh, Ambala, Gurgaon, Panchkula, Patiala, Mohali and Phagwara also witnessed downpours.

According to the Meteorological department, heat wave conditions shall temporarily abate from North West India. (With PTI Inputs)
