New Delhi: Suspected burglars allegedly robbed more than Rs 22 lakh from the official residence of Sarvesh Kumar Singh, a BJP Member of Parliament, the police said on Friday.
They said the incident happened on Wednesday and was reported to the police the next morning.
Neither the MP nor his family members was present at the home when the incident happened, the police said.
When the Mr Singh's son returned to the house, he saw the place ransacked and the money stolen, they said.
He informed the police and a case was registered at the Parliament Street police station, a senior police official said.
Sarvesh Kumar Singh is the Member of Parliament from Moradabad.
