New Delhi:
Scolding their child for not doing well in the exam has cost dearly to a couple in Delhi. Daniel, a Class XII student, hanged himself after his family gave him a piece of their mind for not performing in an examination a day earlier.
The son of a Delhi Police inspector, Daniel was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room in the afternoon at around 2 pm, police said.
"Daniel had appeared for a science paper in the morning and returned home around 12 pm. He had not done very well in the exam and told his family about it, after which they asked him to concentrate and not loiter around," said a senior police officer.
Thereafter he went to his room and hanged himself.
No suicide note was found and police are investigating the matter.
