New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit guarding Delhi Metro on Tuesday undertook a green drive and planted 120 saplings in Okhla area of the national capital.
The drive was carried out near the Delhi Metro premises and senior officials of the paramilitary force led by Deputy Inspector General Raghubir Lal and senior Commandant Prabodh Chandra took part in it, a CISF official said.
The plantation drive is expected to be carried out at other places too as part of the environment responsibility initiative of the force.
The CISF is tasked with securing all stations of the Delhi Metro in the national capital area.
