New Delhi:
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain had a narrow escape after he was once again targeted in a slipper attack by a woman who claimed she was hurt by Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal's remarks on India's anti-terror strikes across the Line of Control.
Bhavana Arora -- who claimed to belong to the Aam Aadmi Sena - hurled a piece of footwear at Mr Jain while he was outside the Income Tax office today afternoon. However, the slipper only hit the vehicle in which he - and also senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh - was travelling.
"How could the Aam Aadmi Party demand proof of strikes by the Indian Army? They are behaving like Pakistani agents," Ms Arora said.
This is not the first time that Ms Arora has targeted senior AAP leaders. In January this year, she threw ink on Mr Kejriwal while he delivered a speech at a public meeting.
Volunteers of the Aam Aami Sena also sloganeered and protested outside the Income Tax Headquarters in Delhi where Mr Jain was to arrive for questioning. He had been summoned by the Income Tax department as a witness in connection to an ongoing investigation against several Kolkata firms.
Mr Jain has denied any connection with the firms under investigation and said that he had ended his dealings with them some years ago.
