New Delhi:
One person died and 12 others were injured, eight of them critically, when a fire broke out in a house in Amar Colony area of south Delhi. The incident took place around 9:00 PM last night. Ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control at around 2 AM, fire brigade officials said today.
Nine persons were critically injured in the blaze and were admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital, they said, adding one of them died later. Out the critically injured persons, two persons had received 98 per cent burn injuries.
Four persons, who had received minor injuries, were later discharged from hospital. Three floors and basement of the house were charred in the fire. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
