New Delhi:
A 30-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was killed when a speeding taxi rammed into his vehicle in central Delhi, police said on Friday.
"The incident took place near the Kasturba Gandhi-Ferozeshah Marg crossing," a police officer said.
According to police, the accident took place at around 6.40 am. The deceased was identified as Durga Prasad.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Parliament Street police station against the errant taxi driver, Gurbachan Singh, who has been arrested.
Police said it was a head-on-collision between the two vehicles. Both the vehicles were confiscated.
