New Delhi:
A stray dog that reportedly entered a Delhi Metro coach recently has raised eyebrows vis-a-vis security arrangements at the rapid rail network in the national capital.
According to eyewitness accounts, the animal was seen in a metro coach at the Pragati Maidan station last night and it apparently travelled few stations before which it was shooed out of the Noida-bound train.
Delhi Metro authorities said they were "trying to ascertain and obtain the exact details about the reported breach" even as they said they have "some preliminary information" about the said incident after some photographs in this regard were posted on social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook.
The 193-kilometre rail network is a lifeline for almost 26 lakh commuters in the National Capital Region daily.
"The CCTV footage is being scanned and details about the incident are being checked," officials said.
Few years ago, a snake had surfaced at the Yamuna Bank station causing panic amongst the travellers.
