Delhi: A young student from Punjab fell to death in west Delhi while climbing a house clinging to a pipeline to meet his girlfriend.
Ankush Wadhwa fell from the residential building in Paschim Vihar at around 3 pm after the pipeline broke, a senior police official said. He hails from Punjab's Moga and had come to Delhi to meet his girlfriend.
"The boy and the girl used to keep in touch through telephone and internet chatting. He came to meet the girl. It is not clear whether he was denied permission to meet her by her family," the official said.
Wadhwa climbed the pipeline from the backside of the building and fell down.
He was taken to Balaji hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"We are investigating the case. It appears to be a case of accidental death. However, we are investigating all angles," the official said.
Ankush was a student of a professional college in Rajpura locality of Punjab.
