Sunny morning in Delhi, cloudy day ahead

New Delhi: It was a warm and sunny morning for the capital on Monday with the minimum temperature settling at 19.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average for the season.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a cloudy day ahead for the city. "The sky is likely to turn partly cloudy towards afternoon. Rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours was 1.4 milimetres," said an official from the India Meteorological Department.

"Maximum and minimum temperature will stay around 36 and 22 degrees Celsius," said the IMD official. Maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 35.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average for the season. Humidity settled at 73 per cent at 8.30 am.
