It was a hot and sunny morning today in New Delhi with the minimum temperature settling four notches above the season's average at 31.2 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Office has forecast a partly cloudy day with the possibility of thunderstorm and rain in some areas.
"The maximum temperature would hover around 39 degrees Celsius," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
Humidity at 8.30 am was 55 per cent.
Saturday's maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.6 degrees - slightly below the season's average.
