It was a sunny morning today here with the minimum temperature recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
The Meteorological Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.
"Today's maximum temperature is likely to soar up to 42 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The humidity at 8.30 am was 48 per cent.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
