New Delhi: A suspended judge has been admitted to a hospital in New Delhi after he overdosed on sleeping pills. He reportedly went into depression after he was suspended last week following a complaint by a woman employee, police said.
Pratap Singh Malik was posted as additional district judge at the Dwarka court at the time of his suspension. He lives with his wife and daughter at Karkardooma court complex.
His wife and daughter also allegedly consumed sleeping pills but were safe as they vomited out the pills. A suicide note allegedly written by him was recovered from his house, sources said.
Doctors at Hedgewar hospital, where he was admitted last night, said his condition was stable.
"We are yet to record Malik's statement," said a senior police officer.
