New Delhi:
Three people, including a minor girl, were critically injured today after a speeding BMW car hit the motorcycle they were travelling on near Rajghat in central Delhi, police said. The car driver was arrested.
Parul, 13, Nasiruddeen, 37 and Rahul Negi, 26, all residents of west Delhi's Raghubir Nagar, were injured in the accident around 12.10 p.m. on the Ring Road near Rajghat.
"Nasiruddeen and Parul are stated to be still unconscious while Negi is out of danger," a police officer said Sunday evening.
Car driver Man Bahadur, 50, was arrested and booked for rash and negligent driving.
The incident comes two days after a 23-year-old MBA student was killed when his speeding car turned turtle after hitting a road divider in south Delhi on Friday.
In a similar incident on April 8, a police constable was killed and another injured when a speeding Mercedes hit their motorcycle during a night patrol in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar.
On April 1, a 40-year-old man was killed and his driver injured when a speeding Toyota Fortuner collided head-on with their Tata Indigo in north Delhi's Rohini.
