Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority Board on Thursday hiked Yamuna Express toll rates for 2016-17 by around 13 per cent.
Per kilometre toll rates of two wheelers, 3 wheelers and registered tractors has been hiked from Rs 1.10 to Rs 1.25.
The rates for car, jeep, van and other light motor vehicles have been hiked from Rs 2.20 to Rs 2.50 whereas for light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles and mini bus, toll rates have been increased from Rs 3.45 to Rs 3.85.
Toll rates of buses and trucks have been raised from Rs 7 to Rs 7.85. Heavy construction machines 3 to 6 axle will now have to pay Rs 11.90 per km compared to Rs 10.75 earlier.
Heavy oversized vehicles rates has been hiked from Rs 13.70 to Rs 15.40.
The hike was necessitated due to hike in price index and construction of loop at Agra which has been made fully functional, officials said.
