New Delhi:
Three members of a family were found allegedly murdered inside their home in west Delhi on Sunday morning.
The triple murders were discovered when the house help came to the third floor house in Delhi's Old Rajender Nagar around 9 am and found the main door open. She found Jyoti, in her forties, and her son Pawan, 23, dead inside the house and informed the police, sources told NDTV. A subsequent search by the police found that Jyoti's husband Sanjeev, 50, had also been murdered. His body was found inside a cupboard.
The police have begun investigations and suspect a dispute over property could have led to the alleged murders. Joint Commissioner SK Gautam said that the mother and son appeared to have been strangled. "The house was ransacked and the entry (into the house) looks friendly," he added.
Initial police investigations suggest that the alleged killers were known to the family and had been let into the house after which they allegedly committed the murders. The exact number of people involved in the crime is not yet known.
