After Baby Falak's heart wrenching tale of abandonment and abuse, two more cases of girl children being abandoned have surfaced in the capital.
In a fresh case, two girls were found abandoned in Bawana area of Delhi. The two girls, aged one and a half and two, were rescued from a canal by the local residents.
In what could have ended tragically for the girls, they fell into the canal and started floating. They were rescued in the nick of time by the local residents.
The babies were reportedly brought to Maharshi Valmiki hospital by two women.
"They've come out fine in their medical examination. But we are sending for their x-ray and they will be kept in our observation for the next 24 hours," Dr Prakash Jha of Maharshi Valmiki hospital told NDTV.
There is no sign of their parents.
