"Sealing of a Chief Minister's office is unprecedented. I am shocked," Mamata Banerjee had tweeted after the CBI raid.
Kolkata:
Amidst claim by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that his office was raided by the CBI, his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee today said she was "shocked" by the "unprecedented action".
"Sealing of a Chief Minister's office is unprecedented. I am shocked," Ms Banerjee tweeted.
Mr Kejriwal's claim was denied by the CBI as well as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Rajya Sabha where the Opposition created uproar and forced adjournments of the House many times.
"CBI raids my office," Mr Kejriwal claimed in a tweet. Trinamool Congress national spokesperson Derek O' Brien said in a statement that his party demanded clarification from the Centre on the raid.
"CBI raid on Arvind Kejriwal's office is unprecedented. The union government has to clarify. Has emergency been declared," he asked.
