Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel appointed senior leader V K Malhotra as convenor of the Election Co-ordination Committee.

Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel today appointed senior leader V K Malhotra as convenor of the Election Co-ordination Committee which will oversee all matters relating to the December 4 assembly polls.
Shyam Jaju has been appointed Co-Convenor of the Committee comprising 25 members.
The decision to appoint Mr Malhotra as convenor of the committee was taken by Mr Goel after a discussion on the issue with party's Delhi Election in-charge Nitin Gadkari.
Mr Malhotra, who is leader of the Opposition in the assembly, had decided not to contest the election.
His son Ajay has been fielded by BJP from Greater Kailash from where Mr Malhotra had won in 2008 assembly poll.
