Warm Weather to Continue in Delhi

New Delhi: Warm sunny weather prevailed during the day in Delhi as the mercury continued to hover above normal levels with the weather department predicting a further rise.

While the minimum temperature settled five notches above the normal at 14 degrees Celsius today, the maximum was recorded three notches above the season's average at 28.1 degrees Celsius, Met department said.

The department predicted that the maximum is expected to hover around 29 degrees tomorrow.

"There will be mist and shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 29 degrees and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively," a MeT official said.

Weather in the national capital has been warm for the last few days with Monday being the third hottest day in December since 1901, at 29 degrees Celsius.

The all-time highest maximum temperature in December was recorded in 2011 when it went up to 29.5 degrees Celsius on December 5.

The humidity in air oscillated between 30 and 70 per cent today.
