New Delhi: Water supply will be hit in major parts of the city, including NDMC areas, this evening due to ongoing interconnection of pipes, Delhi Jal Board has said.
Areas where water shall not be available or available at low pressure include Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital and adjoining areas, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar and Karol Bagh.
Pahar Ganj, New Delhi Municipal Council areas, old and new Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar (east and west), Inderpuri, parts of cantonment areas and south Delhi will also be among the affected zones.
The situation arose due to the complete shutdown of Chandrawal WW (water works) No 1 and II for interconnection of old water mains (main pipe in a water supply system) with pipe lines at DCM chowk, Rani Jhansi Road, DJB said.
