New Delhi:
Four unidentified motorcyclists waylaid a 35-year-old web designer in west Delhi and decamped with cash and his mobile phone after beating him up, police said on Friday.
The incident took place in Uttam Nagar when Rajesh Aggarwal was returning home after work, a senior police official said.
"He was waylaid by four men. They tried to snatch money and his mobile phone," the official said, adding when he resisted, they beat him up with iron rods.
They took away Rs 1,500 cash and his mobile phone and then fled the spot.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
