Wettest February in Delhi in 70 years, more rain likely today
New Delhi: It was another overcast morning in the national capital on Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling five notches above average at 15.4 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecast rain during the day.

"A cloudy day with chances of rain lies ahead for Delhi," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

"The maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius," the IMD official added.

The capital recorded 15.4 mm of rain between 8.30 am on Tuesday and 8.30 am on Wednesday.

There was shallow mist in the morning. Visibility dropped to 800 meters while humidity was 100 percent.

The city received 46 mm of rainfall from 8.30 am on Monday to 8.30 am on Tuesday - the highest winter rainfall in a day in the past six years.

Tuesday's maximum temperature settled four notches below average at 18.6 degrees, while the minimum temperature was five notches above average at 13.5 degrees Celsius.
