New Delhi:
A 35-year-old married woman was abducted and raped in a moving car by five people, including some known to her, today, police said.
According to police, the woman was abducted outside the Akshardham temple in east Delhi at around 9 am and found unconscious outside the Pragati Maidan metro station in central Delhi at around 10.15 am.
Passers-by spotted the woman lying outside the station and informed the police, who reached the spot and took the woman to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
A medical examination confirmed rape, a police officer said, adding the woman had given a statement saying some of the people who abducted and raped her were known to her.
Investigations are on and a hunt has been launched to nab the accused, police said.
