New Delhi: A woman and her 10-year-old daughter were injured when diluted acid fell on them while they were crossing an under-construction house in north east Delhi's Bhajanpura area, police said on Sunday.
While the woman alleged that she was attacked with acid, police said it seems that the chemical fell on her accidentally.
The incident occurred when Fozia (31) and her daughter were crossing an under-construction house in Bhajanpura D-Block and the chemical that was being used to clean the house fell on them, they said.
They were rushed to GTB Hospital and were discharged after receiving first aid as they did not suffer any serious injuries, police said.
"It was a diluted form of acid and a worker who was cleaning the house accidentally spilled the liquid on them when his foot slipped.
"We are questioning the accused Pradeep. A case has been registered and we are investigating the matter," DCP (North East) AK Singla said.
