A 31-year-old woman was on Tuesday found dead under mysterious circumstances in her residence in the capital, with her family alleging that her in-laws and husband murdered her.
The incident was reported from Jagriti Enclave at around 4 pm after the family of the deceased, Neha Kukreja, informed the police and staged a demonstration on the streets with the body.
Her husband Sanjeev, a scrap dealer, is absconding.
Sanjeev's family allegedly informed Neha's parents at around 10:30 am that she had committed suicide. The couple had gone for a party on Monday.
According to Neha's family, Sanjeev's family gave different versions about her death which led to suspicion. Her family then took her body to the streets and staged a protest.
Sanjeev and Neha got married in 2001 and have two sons.
