New Delhi:
A 29-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her husband in West Delhi on their tenth wedding anniversary, police said on Sunday.
Anchal was murdered on Friday night allegedly by her husband Prince Kocher (32), a scrap dealer, who has been arrested, V Renganathan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), said.
According to the official, the accused had tried to commit suicide twice in the past five years as he was upset with his wife's "over possessiveness" and the couple would quarrel frequently.
"Anchal was forcing him to shift to a separate house. He told us that he was unable to tolerate the pressure and taunts from his wife. So he decided to murder her," Renganathan said.
"Last Friday, it was their marriage anniversary and the couple and their two children went to Connaught Place.
After dinner, they left their children at the house of Anchal's parents in Mahavir Enclave," he said.
