New Delhi:
A 28-year-old woman and her paramour were arrested for allegedly murdering her husband in east Delhi, police said.
Reshma and Nasir were arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering the former's husband Rakesh in Trilokpuri a week ago.
According to police, Rakesh and Nasir were friends and the latter was a regular at his house. Meanwhile, Nasir and Reshma developed a liking for each other.
On January 13, Nasir invited Rakesh and Reshma for dinner at his house and allegedly strangled him after consuming alcohol. The body was later thrown into Yamuna river in Kondli, police said.
During investigation, police claimed, they became suspicious of Reshma and Nasir as they were found in touch before and after Rakesh's disappearance for which a case was registered.
They confessed during questioning, they said, adding they were also investigating whether Nasir's wife Roshani and his friend Salem had any role in the murder.
