New Delhi: A woman and her relative were allegedly attacked with a screwdriver by a youth after their vehicles got lined up in a manner that neither could move in south Delhi's Katwaria Sarai area.
The incident happened last evening and the victims sustained injuries on their heads and had to receive stitches, police said.
They said the accused was drunk at the time of the incident and has been arrested, they added.
The victims' family stays in Khirki Extension area and were going home while the accused was going to his RK Puram residence.
They found themselves in a situation where three vehicles were lined up and not able to proceed as the first one did not move.
The woman got down the car and requested Sanjay Yadav to move his car so that other vehicles could move, police said.
Sanjay got into an argument with her and allegedly attacked her with a screwdriver, they added.
When her relative came to her aid, he was also attacked.
As the victims started bleeding it alarmed others present at the spot and a crowd gathered there overpowering Sanjay and rescuing the victims.
The police reached the spot and arrested Sanjay.
