New Delhi:
The decomposed body of an unidentified young woman was found in a suitcase in a rented room in west Delhi, police said on Friday.
"The incident was reported from a house in Mahesh Vihar in Uttam Nagar. Her identity could not be ascertained since the body was fully decomposed. It appeared that she died around 15 days ago," a police official said.
A Nigerian, Innocent Nwyu, was living in the rented room where the body was found. The owner of the room was Gurudev Singh, who said he had not seen Nwyu for the past 15 days, the official added.
"When Singh went to collect the rent today (Friday) from Nwyu, he found the door locked. The room was stinking. Singh broke open the door and found a suitcase in which a fully decomposed body of a woman was found," the officer said.
