New Delhi:
A 27-year-old pilot with Jet Airways allegedly committed suicide at his home in south-west Delhi, police said on Saturday.
The incident was reported from Najafgarh on Friday and the deceased has been identified as Neeraj Lamba.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot and the police is investigating the cause of death.
It was his mother who found him hanging in his room.
"The mother had gone out for shopping and when she returned home found the doors of his house locked from within. She repeatedly knocked on the door but there was no response. Then she called the neighbours who managed to break open the door and found the pilot hanging," police said.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Neeraj, who was employed with Jet Airways for the past one year, is survived by his father, mother and a younger brother.
