AJK-MCRC Alumnus Part Of The Team That Won Oscar
Kabir Verma, an alumnus of AJK MCRC, JMI worked closely with Adam Valdez
New Delhi: Kabir Verma, an alumnus from the prestigious AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) worked closely with Adam Valdez, Visual Effects supervisor of the 2016 visual effects heavy feature film, "The Jungle Book" which recently won an Oscar for its spectacular visual effects. 

This is not the first time that Kabir Verma has worked on a project which has garnered an Oscar. 

In 2013, he was lead match-move technical director at Rhythm & Hues, Hyderabad and was on the VFX team of "Life of Pi".

Kabir was part of the first batch of P.G. Diploma Graphics and Animation which is now a two year program- M.A. in Visual Effects and Animation. JMI awarded him with a gold medal for excellence in academics and he was also felicitated for his achievements in 2014, said a statement from JMI.

"I am delighted to be a part of the Oscar winning team of MPC Film 'The Jungle Book' and to have worked on this blockbuster! With Adam Valdez", said Kabir on being part of the Oscar winning team of Moving Picture Company.  He did his PG Diploma in Graphics & Animation in 2007-08 from AJK MCRC said, 

He thanked his teachers at AJK MCRC for their guidance and said that it would encourage students to explore the world of visual effects.

"Kabir excelled in his education while he was at Jamia and since then has visited the campus several times to share his knowledge by conducting workshops on Visual Effects", said Atul Sinha, Course-coordinator, M.A. Visual Effects and Animation.
