Applications have been invited online for recruitment for the post of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in the Andhra Pradesh Collegiate Education Service.
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APSC) has invited applications for lecturers in the following departments of various colleges in the state: English, Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Oriya, Commerce, Economics, History, Political Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Statistics, Bio-Technology, Micro-Biology, Computer Applications, Computer Science and Geology.
Selection process
The selection process for recruitment to the post of degree college lecturers in government degree colleges includes a written examination and an Interview or oral test.
PART-A: Written 'Examination (Objective Type):
PART-B: Interview (Oral Test):
There will be negative marking and each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question, a notification said.
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts screening tests offline in case applicants exceed 25,000 in number and the main examination online for candidates selected in the screening test.
If the screening test is to be held, the date will be communicated later.

- Paper-1: General Studies & Mental Ability: There will be 150 objective type questions in session for 150 marks.
- Paper-2: Concerned Subject: Only one subject will be considered for this test with 150 questions for 300 marks.
PART-B: Interview (Oral Test):
- The maximum marks for the interview is 50.
- Total marks for the written examination and the interview will be 500.

How to apply
- Step 1 - Make the payment for the application through corresponding notification Online Payment Form and note down Journal number and date of payment.
- Step 2 - After payment of the fee, the applicant should click on the Online Application Form Submission link and enter the Journal Number, date of payment and date of birth, fill in the format of the application and submit online.
- Step 3 - Upload a recent colour passport size photo with signature in the appropriate space provided (JPG format) in the application form.
- Step 4 - Fill all the relevant columns in the application and submit online.
