New Delhi:
Various State secondary and higher secondary education boards have started declaring the SSC/ SSLC/ HSLC/ PUC/ 10th/ 12th results. While many of the States have announced the result, many more are yet to come out with it. Hence, while many students heaving a sigh of relief and have started planning for the career ahead, the many others are still anticipating the result declaration date. However, State boards won't delay in announcing the results. The HRD Ministry has directed all the school boards to announce the results, of class 12 particularly, on time in order to ensure easy IIT JEE rank calculation.
After the declaration of results, the Board usually prepares for the revaluation and for the supplementary examinations. As per the existing rules, the respective Boards will notify the students. Hence it is suggested to keep an eye on the web portal of the Board for timely updates.
The end of board exam result season will be followed by admission to undergraduate and intermediate courses. Universities and colleges will begin their intake process through online/ offline registration immediately after students get their score card.
The first cut off list for admission is likely to be released by the end of June. Other lists will follow by depending on the vacant seats left thereafter.
Admission time is ought to be a tough phase! With varied options available students will definitely find it hard to decide on the suitable college and course. And if, narrow conceptual understanding is coupled to this, it will be no less than a daunting experience. Proper self-assessment and career guidance will be helpful.

Students can take note of the following points:
- Last date for application submission or registration must be noted seriously. Academic institutions do not entertain any communication beyond that date.
- Mode of application submission is another important thing to be noted. While many colleges ask for online submission of applications, many others ask for the printout of it as well. Even in many cases institutions ask for scanned images of documents. Failure in submitting documents in the proper format and mode will lead to rejection of application.
- Application fees, or registration fees, must be submitted during registration.
- Take a note of the counseling dates, though it may be intimated individually
