CBSE 10th result 2020 has been released on the board's official website, 'cbseresults.nic.in'. This year over 18 lakh students had registered for 10th exam. The HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced result declaration on Twitter. The result are available on board's official website, 'cbse.nic.in', and result's website, 'cbseresults.nic.in' shortly. The board has already released class 12 results. CBSE 12th result was announced on July 13. The pass percentage in class 12 increased this year and a similar trend is expected for class 10 as well.
Trivandrum region has recorded highest pass percentage in CBSE 10th exams, days after its stupendous performance in class 12 exams. In class 12 exams, Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram region recorded 97.67 pass percentage.
Tamil Nadu, with a pass percentage of 99.61% has become the best-performing state in CBSE Class 10 result 2020. As many as 62,260 students from Tamil Nadu had appeared in CBSE 10th board exam this year out of whom, 62,019 have passed. The pass percentage of female candidates of Tamil Nadu is 99.85% and for male candidates, it is 99.42%.
The CBSE said in a statement that the modalities in detail regarding the rechecking and revaluation will be notified soon by the Board.
Patna region has improved it's performance. While in class 12 exams, Patna region was at the lowest spot, for class 10 it has made it's place in top ten.
This year, number of students in compartment category has increased and the number of students scoring above 90% has decreased.
CBSE, last year, introduced two levels of mathematics for class 10 students - Basic and Standard and the exams for the first such batch was held this year.
Students who are facing difficulty in checking CBSE 10th result, can also get their result through SMS.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan congratulated its students for record pass percentgae this year. Among schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya has recorded highest pass percentage.

Meanwhile, the board has sent result to respective schools and has made arrangements to send results via SMS to individual students.

The post-result Tele counselling facility has been activated from July 13 and will continue till July 27 on Toll-Free Number 1800 11 8004.
A total of 1,50,198 students or 8.02 per cent students have been placed in compartment category. The number of students placed in compartment category has increased from last year.
Trivandrum region has again topped with 99.28 pass percentage, followed by Chennai with 98.95 pass percentage and Bengaluru with 98.23 pass percentage. The last among regions is Guwahati with 79.12 pass percentage.
Pass percentage among girls is 93.31 per cent and among boys is 90.14 per cent. Pass percentage of transgender students is 78.95 per cent.
Total 18,85,885 students had registered for class 10 exams this year out of which 18,73,015 appeared and 17,13,121 students have passed.
91.46 per cent students have passed class 10 CBSE exams. The pass percentage has increased by 0.36 per cent.
CBSE 10th result has been declared but is yet to be uploaded on the official website. Students are advised to be patient and check their result as it is uploaded online.

CBSE 10th result is now expected at 12.30 pm. It was speculated that board will release 10th result at 12 pm but there has been no update so far.
CBSE had said that it will release 10th results in the afternoon on July 15. Students were expecting the results around 12 pm but with no results yet, students have flooded twitter with fresh set of memes.

CBSE result for class 10 was expected around 12 pm today. However, the board has not updated result link yet and students will have to wait some more.
CBSE had not mentioned any particular time for 10th result. HRD Minister's tweet also mentioned only 'afternoon' for result declaration. The ambiguity of term 'afternoon' has students on the edge.
CBSE Class 10 result will be declared today in the afternoon. Students can check their result at cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in and results.gov.in. Post-result updates like availability of certificates and mark sheet will be sent to students through DigiLocker. DigiLocker will intimate students of their marksheet and pass certificate once it is sent by the CBSE.

After CBSE 10th result declaration, admission process for class 11 will begin. Students will need to make decision about which stream to pursue in 10+2 or higher secondary classes.
In India, students have the option to choose from Science, Commerce or Arts and Humanities stream. Each stream opens up opportunities in different career fields.

Students would need their school code an exam roll number to download their results.
CBSE had released 12th results at 12 pm on July 13. It is expected that the board will announce CBSE 10th results at 12 noon too.
CBSE, as decided for class 12, may provide optional exam choice to class 10 students also. Optional exam will be held only for subjects for which exams were cancelled.
Meanwhile, class 10 students have taken to Twitter and sharing hilarious memes in a bid to battle stress about results through humor.
CBSE will release class 10 marksheet and other certificates in a student's DigiLocker account. Students who have not created their DigiLocker account yet, should do so immediately.
Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are leading among schools in CBSE Class 12 result this year. While KVs have recorded 98.62% pass and in JNVs 98.7% of students have qualified the exam this year.
This year, government schools performed better than private schools in 12th exam, hence all eyes are now on 10th result to see if government schools will be able to repeat their performance in 10th exams or not.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Maharashtra board will announce class 12 (HSC) and class 10 (SSC) results soon.
Even before the results could be announced, CBSE website is showing error. Class 12 students had faced a lot of problems on July 13 in checking their result since the website crashed and IVRS system and UMANG app was also not responding.
CBSE may decide to repeat its decision of not marking students 'Fail' for 10th exam also. For class 12, the board decided that it will not mark 'Fail' and instead mention 'Essential Repeat' in subjects for which exams were cancelled.
CBSE awards grades instead of marks to class 10 students. For awarding the grades, the Board puts all the passed students in a rank order and awards grades as per the system given below:
A-1: Top 1/8th of the passed candidates
A-2: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
B-1: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
B-2: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
C-1: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
C-2: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
D-1: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
D-2: Next 1/8th of the passed candidates
E: Failed candidates
CBSE 10th result may be available on private result portals like 'indiaresults.com', and 'examresults.net'. However, students are advised to wait and check their result from the official website only.
CBSE awards grades instead of marks in class 10. The board had introduced grading system to reduce pressure on students.
CBSE did not release list of toppers for class 12 and will follow the same protocol for class 10 as well. The decision to not announce names of class 12 toppers was taken keeping in mind the unprecedented situations students had to face this year.
A CBSE official confirmed that class 10 result will be announced in the afternoon today.
CBSE, apart from website, will also make 10th results available through IVRS, SMS, and UMANG app.
CBSE could not conduct examination for a few papers and hence came up with an alternative assessment scheme to award marks in subjects for which exams were cancelled. The board has already declared class 12 results on the basis of the alternative assessment scheme.
As per reports, over 18 lakh students had registered for class 10 exams with CBSE this year.
