The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday conducted the Class 12 English paper, beginning at 10.30am and concluding at 1.30pm. This year, a total of 39 lakh students from 26 countries are taking the examinations. In the national capital, the examinations are being held at 877 examination centers, with 5.80 lakh students appearing.

"The Reading Section was notably easy, while the Writing Section presented average to easy questions on familiar topics. However, the Literature Section proved to be lengthy, with some tricky questions in the RTC segment. Notably, the two-marker questions in question no. 10 featured more poetry and prose extracts compared to previous years. The long-answer questions required students to compare characters from different chapters across various books, presenting a unique challenge. Despite the paper's overall length, it falls within the easy to average difficulty range. Overall, students had the opportunity to showcase their understanding, although time management may have been a concern for some," said Manoj Rawat, a teacher from Delhi's Indraprastha International School.

CBSE Board Exam 2024 Live: Schools Asked To Send Observations On Question Papers
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification about sending observations on the question papers of the board exams. The board has made certain requests from schools to streamline the process of the observations.
As per the requests made, the observations should be uploaded on OECMS on the same day of the exam. CBSE said that it will not take any action against the observations if they are not received on time, are not in compliance with the instructions issued by the board or are vague and unclear.
The official notification by the board said, "You are aware that the board examinations for classes 10 and 12 have started. Every year, schools are requested to send their observations and issues if any to the CBSE on the question paper in OECMS."
