"It was a balanced paper and the questions were from the NCERT textbook," said CBSE class 12 students who took their Business Studies today. Students who had revised the NCERT textbook properly are expected to score well, opined teachers and experts. "Approximately 40% of the questions were direct which was a great relief for students," said Mrs. Sarika Mathur and Mrs. Anjna Kaushik, PGT (Commerce), Army public School, Delhi Cantt. "Few case studies questions were tricky and lengthy which requires in-depth knowledge and thinking skills," the teachers said.
"CBSE Class XII Business Studies exam conducted smoothly today at 3,961 centres for 3,44,684 registered candidates in the country and abroad," said the Board.
One of the major papers for Commerce students, Business Studies, was a relief after a relatively tough Accountancy paper, the teachers added. The Accountancy exam was held on March 6 and petitions demanding lenient evaluation for the paper have been doing rounds on the social media. While subject-matter experts claimed the paper was only moderately difficult, they also acknowledged that the paper was lengthy and said that many students would have faced difficulty in completing the paper within the allotted time.
With this, CBSE concludes exams for 115 subjects, in class 12, till today. For class 10, exams for 64 subjects are over till date.
The next paper is Biology, on March 15, a major paper for class 12 science students.
