CBSE 12th result 2020 has been announced and is available on the board's official result website, 'cbseresults.nic.in'. This year total 88.78 per cent students have passed in 12th exam. Result of 400 students could not be computed on the basis of alternative assessment scheme and will be released later. The result comes two days ahead of the anticipated result date. CBSE had told Supreme Court on June 26 that it was cancelling all remaining exams and will announce results by July 15. The Board had also presented an alternative assessment scheme for subjects for which exam could not be conducted. The alternative assessment scheme is based on a student's performance in the written exam for subjects for which the board could hold exams successfully.
Among states and UTs, Lakshadweep has best pass percentage in the CBSE 12th results declared today as Bihar has the lowest.
The CBSE has also said the individual results are being sent to the students through SMS and emails available with the Board.

An official from the Board said 400 students, whose CBSE 12th results have not been announced today, will be "intimated" about their marks.
As of now, the official link of CBSE results, cbseresults.nic.in, which was not responding earlier is available now.
An official from the Central Board of Secondary Education said the Class 10 results are not being released today.
An official from the CBSE said the cbseresults.nic.in, the official portal which hosts the CBSE 12th results, will be back by 5.00 pm. Students have complained that they were not able to download the results.
The pass percentage of girls, 92.15 per cent, is 5.96 percentage points higher than that of boys, 86.19 per cent. The pass percentage of CBSE Class 12th transgender students is 66.67.

Among regions, Bengaluru is at second spot with 97.05 pass percentage, and Chennai is third with 96.17 pass percentage.
As reported earlier Trivandrum region has recorded highest pass percentage with 97.67 per cent.
CBSE will announce schedule for compartment exam and optional exam later. The dates would be decided in consultation with Government of India.
West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee also congratulated class 12 students on Twitter.

After the declaration of results, CBSE has released details of its 23rd edition of post-result counseling facility. According to official information, the counselling of CBSE 12th result 2020 will be available from July 13 to July 27. Post-result counselling of will be done with the help of 95 trained volunteer principals and trained counsellors, CBSE said.

CBSE has decided to replace the term “FAIL” by the term “Essential Repeat”. Hence, in the result declared no “FAIL” term will be mentioned in the documents issued to the candidates and the result hosted on the website," the statement said.
CBSE sprung a surprise by announcing class 12 result on July 13. The board has not released any statement on class 10 result date.
Among regions, Trivandrum region has topped with 97.67 pass percentage in the region. Lowest pass percentage is of Patna region at 74.57 per cent.
7.35 per cent or 87,651 students have been placed in the compartment category in CBSE 12th exam.
Class 12 results of 400 students could not be computed as per decided assessment scheme. Their CBSE 12th result will be announced later.
In school wise results, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) have the best pass percentage of 98.70%, followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) at 98.62%. Private schools have the lowest pass percentage of 88.22% this year.
CBSE will conduct an optional examination in the subjects whose examinations scheduled to be conducted from July 1 to July 15, 2020 as soon as conditions are conducive as assessed and decided by the Central Government.

3.24 per cent students or total 38,686 students have scored above 95% marks in CBSE 12th exam.
In Delhi, 94.39% of total students who took the CBSE Class 12 exam this year have passed. Delhi West region has registered 94.61% pass and Delhi East has registered 94.24% pass.
This year the pass percentage among girls is 92.15 per cent and among boys it is 86.19 per cent. Girls have done better than boys by 5.96 per cent. pass percentage among transgender students is 66.67 per cent.
CBSE will not release any merit list this year. Earlier, CISCE had also announced that it will not announce topper's list for ISC and ICSE exams.
Total 88.78 per cent students have passed this year. The pass percentage has increased by 5.38 per cent from last year when 83.40 per cent students passed.
