Central Hindi Institute Announces List Of Winners For Hindi Sevi Samman
New Delhi: Central Hindi Institute, an International level organization within the ambit of Department of Higher of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, has announced the list of winners for Hindi Sevi Samman. Twenty-six writers have been selected for the award and the winners include two Japanese and American professors. The winners would be honored next month at Rashtrapati Bhawan by President Pranab Mukherjee for their efforts to promote Hindi language. The list of winners was announced today by the Institute. 

The winners include Fujii Takeshi from Japan and Gabriela Nik Ilieva from United States of America. They will be presented the George Grearson Award in the Foreign Hindi Writers category.

Pushpita Avasthi from Netherlands and Padmesh Gupta from London would be presented award in NRI category. Writers who have been selected from non-Hindi speaking states are S Shesharatnam from Vishakhapatnam, M Govind Rajan from Chennai, Harmahendra Singh Bedi from Amritsar, and H Subadani Devi from Imphal. Journalists Rahul Dev and Baldev Bhai Sharma will be given the Ganesh Shankar Vidhyarthi Award for their contribution in the field of Hindi journalism.

The awards have been announced for the year 2015. Until 2014, the institute awarded a total of 14 persons for their contribution in promoting Hindi language. From 2015, the institute has increased the number of categories to 12 under which a total of 26 scholars and writers would be facilitated.

Atmaram Award (awarded for contribution in the field of science, medicine, and engineering)
Dr. Girish Chandra Saxena (Agra)
Dr. Phani Bhushan Das (Bihar)

Subrahmanya Bharti Award (awarded for contribution in the field of Hindi criticism)
Prof. Surya Prasad Dixit (Lucknow)
Shrimati Chandrakanta (Gurugram)

Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan Award (awarded for research in education, tourism, and environment in Hindi)
Shrimati Chitra Mudgal (Delhi)
Dr. Jayprakash Kadarm (Delhi)

Dr. George Grearson Award (awarded to foreign scholars for promotion of Hindi abroad)
