Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has decided to allow evaluation of class 10 answer sheets from home. According to the board, teachers will collect the answer sheets for evaluation on April 11 in the presence of District Education Officer (DEO) and will have to submit the answer scripts along with marks by April 22.
Board Chairman Dr. Jagbir Singh said that in the lockdown teachers are spending time at home and will be able to check papers efficiently. All the officers and schools who have been deployed for this duty have been informed.
Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister had announced that Science exam for class 10 students will not be held and 10th board result will be announced based on marks scored in subjects for which exams have already been concluded.
He had also informed that class 9 results would be released this week. Class 11 exams could not be held and a decision is yet to be made about promoting class 11 students.
The board has not made any decision about the remaining class 12 exams but it will be taken according to NCERT directives.
The state government has also suspended all face-to-face classes and will hold online classes until normalcy returns.
