Delhi University will announce first cut off list today, expected to stay the same as last year
New Delhi:
Delhi University is set to release its first cut off list today evening. DU cut off list always creates a buzz, specially in the last few years it has been the talk of the town as the cut off s have risen to 99+ per cent for many courses. This year, however, the expectation is that if not lower, the DU cut off will at least remain the same as last year. The cut off will be released on the University's official website.
The application process for merit-based courses offered by Delhi University concluded on June 12. Earlier the university was due to announce the cut off on June 20 but postponed the announcement to June 23.
While the popular consensus is that the cut off for DU colleges would remain the same as last year, it is not a relief for students as last year the cut offs did not touch the centenary mark but were still high. Last year the highest cut off for B.Com. (H) was 99.25% at Ramjas college. The cut off this year for B.Com. may be varied by a few points.
The cut off for B.Sc. Electronics was 99% at SGTB Khalsa College. The cut off may dip by a per cent or two. BA English (H), which has remained one of the Arts streams to have the highest cut off , cut off was highest at SGTB Khalsa college with 98.75%. The cut off may differ by a few points.

While the real picture will be clear only after the cut off is declared in the evening today, students are advised not to be anxious by the high cut off marks in the first cut off. Delhi University will release at least four cut off lists so the students who do not make it in the first cut off list should wait for the consecutive lists.
