New Delhi:

National Testing Agency (NTA) would have begun the application process for Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2020 this week. Application process, however, has been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak in the country. Prime Minister announced a 21-day lockdown which started on March 25. NTA on its part has extended application date for several examinations, has postponed exams like JEE Main and NEET UG and has re-opened the application correction facility for these exams.

The Agency, in the schedule released earlier, had fixed April 2 as the date to commence application process for DUET 2020. However, the operations have been suspended and the new dates would be announced later.

DUET is held for admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the University. In 2019, DUET was held for admission to the following undergraduate courses:

The entrance test for PG courses is conducted for DU departments, SOL, and NCWEB. The entrance test may be followed by an Interview/group Discussion, if any.

For UG courses, the entrance test will be of two hours duration and will have multiple choice questions. There would be 100 questions. Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. For admission to Music courses, the entrance test will be of practical nature.

For PG courses, the entrance test structure may be different for different courses. The syllabus for the entrance test will be same as the DU syllabus for corresponding undergraduate course.
