HP Board 12th result has been announced. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education announced the plus two results today. Class 12 students can download their result from the board's official website, 'hpbose.org'. Total 86,633 students appeared for 12th board exams in Himachal and 65,654 have passed. 9391 students have been placed in compartment category.

This year the students have improved upon the result. The pass percentage for class 12 students in Himachal Pradesh Board is 76.07 per cent which is 14 per cent more than the last year's pas percentage when 62.01 per cent students passed in the 12th board exam.

Shruti Kashyap, a student of Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Rampur Bushahr has topped in the state in Arts stream with 98.2 per cent marks. Second topper is Sushant Chauhan from Government Shamsher Senior Secondary School in Nahan. He has scored 97.8 per cent marks. Two students, Aanchal from Government Senior Secondary School in Nahan, and Amritanshu from Modern Public School in Fagu, have both scored 97.2 per cent marks and have secured third rank in the board exams.

In Science stream, Prakash Kumar from Kullu Science School of Education has topped with 99.4 per cent marks. Second topper in Science stream is Shubham Jaiswal from Mount View Public School Bhanjal. He has scored 99.2 per cent marks. Tanisha from Government Senior Secondary School Pragpur, is the third topper with 99 per cent marks.

In Commerce stream, Megha Gupta from Government Girls Senior Secondary School Nahan is the topper with 97.6 per cent. Ambika Vikram from S D Senior Secondary School Solan is the second topper in Commerce stream with 96.8 per cent marks. There are six girls who have scored 96.6 per cent marks and have secured third rank.

An HP Board official had confirmed yesterday, on June 17, that the board will announce plus two results on June 18 at 11.30 am. The Board has already announced matric results.

In wake of the coronavirus pandemic, HP Board had to cancel all examinations for optional papers and conducted exam only for Geography paper which had been postponed due to the lockdown.

The Board released a noticed stating that it will award average marks in the fifth or optional paper. The marks will be awarded on the basis of any one of the four/five subjects for which exam was held and attended by the student and in which the student has scored the maximum marks.

The internal marks and practical marks in the fifth subject will remain the same as awarded to the student by their respective schools.
