Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad Alumni Raghunandan G, Vishwavir Ahuja and Aprameya R announced significant Infrastructure funding support to their Alma Mater. Conservation, restoration and upgrade of CR1 Classroom in Heritage Campus of IIMA is being supported by RBL Bank, as announced by Vishwavir Ahuja, MD and CEO, RBL Bank.
"RBL Bank is proud to be associated with IIMA. RBL has significantly benefitted from the quality education imparted at IIMA through several IIMA Alumni in the senior management team," Vishwavir Ahuja.
RBL Bank, Mr. Vishwavir Ahuja added that, has always focused on excellence in the banking industry and is delighted to make a contribution of INR 2.5 Crores for shared vision to support education excellence at IIMA.
At IMDC in IIMA New Campus, CR2 Upgradation to state-of-art facility and maintenance is being supported by Raghunandan G and Aprameya R with funding of INR 2.5 Crores each.
"Contributing to IIMA is a proud moment for us as we owe so much of our success to IIMA," said Raghunandan G and Aprameya R, both are co-founders of TaxiForSure.
"Giving back to Alma Mater was top of the agenda as we consolidated our venture. It's a matter of pride as we facilitate to create state-of-art facility at CR2 IMDC in IIMA to support Institute's focus on excellence in teaching & training the change agents in enterprises" added Mr. Raghunandan and Mr. Aprameya.
Mr. Vishwavir Ahuja was part of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) of IIMA, 1981 batch while Raghunandan G and Aprameya R attended PGP in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Supporting infrastructure goes a long way in institute's endeavor for capacity building and quality education.

"Alumni are a source of strength for the institute. They contribute in many different ways to support the Institute's priorities. IIMA deeply values their meaningful and significant contributions," said Prof Ashish Nanda, Director IIMA.
Government of India has recognized conservation and restoration of IIMA's Louis Kahn Campus buildings as an important task and contributions for this are covered within the ambit of CSR in the Companies Act 2013 under "protection of national heritage, art and culture, including restoration of sights of historical importance as well as promoting education."
